1.Free yourself of negativity

As the highly loveable Disney’s Frozen taught us to “Let it Go” it’s absolutely one of the best things we can do for ourselves. It’s definitely hard living in a society where there are challenges we must deal with constantly, a few fall outs along the way and sprinkled in doubt and discourage by others, especially narrow minded people who only aim to better themselves can take it’s toll on us. Not to mention now a days we are more susceptible to negative and irrelevant opinions of others at the touch of a button, no wonder we start to become weighed down by negativity. Today it’s time to release this pressure and change this by surrounding yourself with positivity. Whether that be quitting your job to find a better one or start doing things that interest you, maybe try things you’ve always wanted to do but never had the chance to. Letting go of negative relationships and making room for new ones is also a small step in a good direction. Because at the end of the day we are only influenced by what we allow us to. If you surround yourself with happiness, how could you not be filled with it!

2. Stop comparing

You are SPECIAL, so start believing it. There is always going to be someone who you believe is hotter, skinnier, prettier, wealthier, smarter, funnier and basically better than you, but that doesn’t mean you’re not perfectly imperfect just the way you are (excuse the cheesiness). The best part about you is that there is NO ONE ELSE like YOU, embrace and own that with confidence. If you constantly put yourself in competition with others, I’m afraid that’s a race your never going to win my friend, because you weren’t designed for someone else’s lifestyle and journey, yours is ultimately unique. Be thankful for this and trust in yourself.

3. Invest in experiences, not things

It’s true you could have all the money and fancy sports cars in the world and still never find happiness, trying to fill the void of emptiness temporarily with superficial things, that leave you feeling all alone inside. Instead we should forget about materialistic objects and spend most of our time learning from others experiences and stories, as they will help us become a better person and find our purpose in life. Superficiality is merely a coping mechanism for the low self esteemers, people with issues and others who have found no meaning whatsoever in their life. If you truly want to be happy, connect with as many humans as possible, because human interaction through friendship, relationships, family, and all the feelings associated with them such as laughter, excitement, compassion and acceptance to name a few, are things that money will never have the ability to buy.

4.Change your mindset, change your life

It’s time to re-focus and re-balance by channeling your new found positive energy towards something great. Focus on being a better version of yourself. Love with the wholeness of your heart, aim to give more knowing you may receive less, perceive every new challenge or blockage as an opportunity to grow and learn, take every new day as it comes one step at a time and be present in every moment for time flies by in the blink of an eye. Stop putting a low effort into things and expecting great results, work hard and approach the game of life with a completely different perspective, with the intent to succeed. Finally, life is not about what you can get out of it, it’s about what you can add of value to life, what can you do for yourself and others that adds greatness to the world?
